Abstract
Comparison between character- and space-construction in La Chanson de Florence de Rome and its Castilian version, Otas de Roma , allows us to establish an outline of the particular features of medieval translation. Under this 'transfer circumstance', the material undergoes logical transformations due to its re-contextualization.
